The Trifield Natural EMF Meter Model 2 is primarily useful for detecting high altitude phenomena.
The Model 2 meter SUM setting combines the RF / Microwave field detection with the Magnetic field detection and thus it's primarily useful for detecting / measuring high altitude phenomena, including early warning of any unusual atmospheric electromagnetic activity such as geomagnetic storms, ball lightning (in theory) and high altitude UFOs, etc.
The SUM setting on the standard TriField Natural EMF Meter (also known as the Ghost Detector or Model 1) combines the electric and magnetic field capabilities of the instrument, primarily "local" field disruptions, and thus is preferred by ghosthunters, paranormal researchers and parapsychologists.
The Model 2 comes with an adapter and can also operate on the included 9-Volt battery.
A tone alarm, located on the side of the instrument, can be adjusted from low to high volumes or switched off.
The TriField Natural EM Meter Model 2 can be purchased with or without the additional extra high sensitivity external magnetic coil which attaches to the meter via an ouput jack, and runs on a 9-Volt battery or the included AC adapter.
